70° E3 2016 - Horizon Zero Dawn Preview - Hunter and Hunted (PS4) - PSLS

Dawn Horizon Zero watch recorded during the Sony press conference, I was struck by the many things that happen. To be sure, a variety of strategies and tactical options looks impressive, but I find myself wondering if I would be able to do anything resembling a complex maneuver appears in the demonstration. Fortunately, I got a chance to sit down with a preview build games - and while taking control of Aloy hero can be a bit daunting at first, I think players will find an adventure him to be as accessible and intuitive as one of the AAA heavy hitters out there.

There is no beating around the bush with this preview: whoever put it together knew we would not have the patience to cutscenes or any backstory, so I found myself placed right in the beautiful fields, colorful and allowed to explore. Just as a little aside about visual presentation here, it was very refreshing to see a "post-apocalyptic" game was released in which the life and the color has returned to the ground; I have nothing against the aesthetics of gray and brown per se, but excessive that has been imposed on me a little bit uncertain.

Come Hunting
In any case, a small swipe across the DualShock 4's touchpad made a goal to level up. The first one I take a crack at: drop one mechanical bull mountain, known as the "Broadhead," shown in the demo using the conference's Ropecaster Aloy weapons. The first time I tried this, I fool rushes in and tells the enemy to my presence, which in turn causes a virtual stampede of creatures as they flee. Once things settle down, I found that crouching, creeping forward slowly and keep plenty of distance between him and me made it so much easier to get their first hit.

Crack! I successfully launched the rope out and catch Broadhead. She began to panic, but I was too fast for him to run this time - shoot fast rope again and again, the bull found himself down for the count. Mounting him, I found myself on the way to completing my next goal, to shoot down the fluid tube sitting on a deer-like robot body in the wild. This, of course, needed a bit more precision (something that is not easily found on the bull ride in the mountains - go figure), so I pressed on the right stick, which slows things down a bit and raise the camera in to give Aloy a better shot.

Destroy! One tube after another fell into my arrows, with some of them rolled off to the ground. The second feat I have accomplished, I finished off my quarry and approached for a closer look. Apparently tubes contain valuable materials known as "Blaze," so I will be looking to collect them - not destroy them - will be your best bet in the full version. In any case, I was lucky, because at the moment I finished collecting things, holders of the third goal I slid into view: a special shield robot with a tube on his head. my current job? Shooting the tube off, collect treasures inside before the robot grabbed it again, and then complete clunker off.

Aim and Fire
This is harder than it looked. The first time I managed to knock off the tube, I found myself sliding in the wrong direction on a faithful horse - which naturally gives a lot of enemies time to take it back. I went down, looking for increased mobility will be important in this regard. I was right, because there is only a small window of time to take the spoil that after the tubes fall. Not long after I approach than I almost found myself on the receiving end of violent attacks appear. I grabbed the loot and rolled out of the way just in time, though, and was able to take my enemies with a flurry of arrows heavy fire damage.

Control and Ideas that Work

From what I have seen so far, it looks like the developer Horizon Zero Dawn has taken the time to enhance the most important aspects of their game: control. What looks like a complex maneuvers in the press conference can be easily learned and took off in the actual demo. I'm really satisfied with the way Aloy quickly respond to my commands, and a small number of "assists" - such as clicking the right stick to narrow your field of view - should make the process of formulating and interesting from a single intuitive impressive strategy.

We would not be able to explore the rich soil details of the new IP Guerrilla Games' until February 28 next year, and what I've played so far on the Horizon Zero Dawn has been made that the wait all the more painful. responsive controls, gorgeous visuals and a number of tricks up sleeve Aloy These are just a handful of this adventure open-world has going for it, and I'm really looking forward to see if they could come together in a cohesive manner when the final game launches , If you are like me and think moving during the demo seemed difficult to pull off, give this game a try if there is a chance - I think you'll be surprised at how quickly Horizon will make a hunter from you.
